Welcome to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  Good Shepherd is committed to sharing God's love in worship, in fellowship, in helping those in need, and in sharing our faith.

Our website gives you an overview of our congregation, our ministry, our beliefs, and ways you can connect and become a part of our congregation.

In order to help you, we offer a variety of worship formats, small groups, Bible studies, education classes and activities.  No matter what your age or place in life, we have a place for you at Good Shepherd.

                         TASK FORCE UPDATE:

As you may know, your transition task force has been meeting weekly.  We were led by Pastor John in one of the small group gatherings that you've been hearing about.  It was very positive experience for us and we are excited to guide you through similar small group gatherings.  These meetings will take about an hour or so and each attendee will have an opportunity to give valuable input.  We hope you'll feel comfortable expressing your ideas and sharing your experiences as we move forward in the call process.

Sign up sheets for the upcoming meetings are in the narthex.  Please make sure you reserve your spot at one of these exciting gatherings.  Feel free to call the church office at (989)793-8201 to hold your spot if unable to sign up at church.  Please continue to pray for direction as God leads us to call the next person He had chosen as our Pastor.

Call process videos

A team of Good Shepherd members has been working on a self-study of the congregation. Another team, the transitional task force has been looking at similar information and is working on the needs of the congregation when the time comes to call our next pastor.

On April 8, Pastor Rick Wolfram, Assistant to the President of the Michigan District - Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, visited Good Shepherd to educate the congregation on our surrounding community and where they are religiously. View video of that session .

On Thursday, April 16, Pastor Wolfram, Pastor William Hessler of Faith Lutheran in Bridgeport and District President David Maier visited Good Shepherd to discuss, in depth, the call process and all the steps leading up to calling a pastor. View video of that session.

Pastor John Langewisch's office hours are:

  Monday 11 am - 8 pm

Tuesday 9:30 am - 4 pm

Wednesday 11 am - 8 pm

He will also be available to the congregation at other times on an as needed basis.
